Today’s Weight: 185.0
Loss/Gain: -1.0 lb
Total Loss So Far: -46.0 lbs
After a week of PMS chocolate eating and TOM arriving yesterday I’m very pleased with a one-pound loss. I can’t remember the last time I had a lost when TOM arrived. I must be doing something right. 🙂
It’s been another busy week, and another good busy. Eating was so-so with the beginning of the week having a huge PMS indulgence.
Exercise has been good.
- Sat – 40 mins of Jillian Michael’s intervals DVDs.
- Sun – Rest
- Mon – 30 Day Shred DVD before work
- Tues – Leslie Sansone 2-mile walk before work
- Wed – Rest
- Thurs – Sansone 2-mile Faith Walk
- Fri (today) – 30 mins on elliptical finishing just over 3 miles at levels 12-14 and 30 mins on bike completing just over 6 miles at levels 10-12.
I’ve had some emotional days, but things are getting worked out and it’s all for good. I’m learning sometimes we have to face the fight and hard times to rejoice in the victorious outcome.
I don’t know if the emotional issues I’ve been dealing with will impact my weight loss journey, but we’ll see. In the meantime I’m continuing on in my weight loss journey.
Here’s a question or two for everyone:
- If you had an accountability partner what would you want to be accountable to each other for? Calories eaten daily? Exercise commitment met daily? Either of these weekly? Something totally different?
- If you’ve had a friend you were accountable to, what did you do? Was it helpful?
Thanks for the comments. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Have a nice weekend everyone! I’m going to try and get back to some more regular blogging…as soon as I remember my husband is home in the evenings now and not out studying till all hours any more. (we share a computer…) LOL
Thanks for checking in! 🙂
I have a partner. We are accountable for our eats and exercise. Sometimes it is difficult…you definitelyy cannot depend on the other person to do your part. My partner quit for about 4 weeks, then started up again…but she's really only dedicated to her exercise for 3-4 days a week. She totally blows the eating part. It just makes me laugh now. On our weekend getaway recently…I have to admit I was jealous of all the yummy things she was eating (the things that I would have eaten not so long ago –all of it, at once). BUT, she gained almost SIX pounds from our weekend!!! I lost weight! So…I learned not to be jealous. The two behaviors just get different results. I just like having someone to report to every day or two. And, it gives me someone to talk to.
So…did I help? Doubt it. I think I rambled…sorry!
Congrats on the weight loss!
I have never had much luck with accountability partners. For some reason, they would always give up and I would be left alone. I don't know if I was a demotivator or what LOL!
That's why I like blogs and message boards because there is always somebody around.
Horray for 185!
I have never been successful trying to accountable to someone in real life, whether it was my husband or boyfriend, or a girl friend – Losing weight is such a personal battle and no on in real life has needed to lose the same amount of weight as me or had the same type of weight issues as me – my husband needs to lose 15-20 lbs but he could do it so easily if he really tried.
But I do love talking about and writing about and reading about weight loss, so that's why I look for support on-line.
Congrats on the loss! You're doing so great! And losing during TOM is always SO hard!
I sorta have an accountability partner. I share an office with my co-worker and he's doing WW. Most mornings we'll tell each other what we ate. When we have “cake day” at work, we try, well I try to keep him accountable and to stay away from it. He's gotten a lot stronger with those tempations which feels good on my part. I know that probably sounds crazy! LOL
I think I would love to have a full-time accountability partner. I do have my husband, but he's only accountable to me sometimes. LOL I think I would want someone to be accountable to me more for my workouts. There are some days when I just don't want to workout. On those days I sometimes just want someone to call me up and say “hey, you meeting me at the gym today?”
Sorry for the long post! haha! 🙂
