I am a 42-year-old wife and mother of 3 who is working on her brand new ending as a healthier, happier person.
In 2009 I originally began my journey at 232 pounds and over the next 3-4 years lost 70 pounds by tweaking how I ate and exercising. After maintaining my weight loss for over a year my life took some major turns.
January 2014 my mother died, a month-and-a-half later my son had a major skiing accident and I began gaining some of the weight back.
Add some more major life events and four years later I found myself to have gained 60 pounds back.
For some people, losing weight is simply a matter of eating less and moving more, but for me it is a journey in changing the way I think. So, here I share my thoughts as I work through the process of gaining control over my food issues all the while hoping to encourage you in whatever life change you are working at making for yourself.
