Weigh-In … Back In The Right Direction

Today’s Weight: 211.5

Loss/Gain: -4.0 lbs.
Total Loss So Far: -19.5
Yes, I am thrilled! I worked a little harder this week and not only did I lose the two pounds I gained last week, but two more on top of that. Yippee!! I am now half a pound away from twenty pounds lost.
Oh, I can smell it, it’s so close!
A few things I did different this week were:
-I didn’t eat late at night, except a handful of grapes one night. I just told myself, “No.” and then I would stop and see if I was really hungry, which I wasn’t. We’ve had a week of revival services and it’s hard not to come home from church wanting a snack before bed, but I did it. ๐Ÿ™‚
-I also ate small portions at dinner and made myself stop and realize that I was satisfied, though I felt FAR from full. This hasn’t been easy. I have eaten homemade tortillas, but less than last week.
– I also haven’t had anything sweet in a few days. I gave the cupcake offered to me at school by a student the other day to my daughter. Plus, I had taken a Snickers snack size candy to a teacher for helping me out (she requested chocolate in exchange for the help) and found I grabbed two instead of one. I was going to eat the second one myself, but I decided to just give it to her later. I knew I didn’t need it, I didn’t really want it and I decided that I need to save my sweet treats for those moments when I really, really want them.
So, those are three things that I can think of off the top of my head that I did differently this week. And they worked! Have a great Friday everyone. :o)

  3. What?? Four pounds and you didn't email me to let me know!! Just kidding – that's an awesome loss. It's so great that making really deliberate choices has worked for you. Congratulations!!!

Just .5 until 20 pounds gone forever!

  4. Yay for you! What kind of revival were you having? Our church has one in November and also March. They are always so encouraging.

Wow!!! That's huge Leah! So excited for you! Been meaning to comment on the Hot 100 challenge and just like you I'm scared to do a challenge cuz I feel like I won't meet my goals, but I guess is you met a few along the way, that's still meeting them right? Can't wait to see how it comes out and I REALLY like how you broke them up into weight loss and emotional goals. Very neat way to do it and I'm rooting rooting rooting for you!!!

What an awesome week! Great work on the good loss for the week (as if there are bad losses)! I think you made some positive moves this week too. They may not be things you can do all the time, but I bet you can do them more often than not. Again, great work!

Thank you all for the great, encouraging comments! I'm glad that things are going back down and look forward to seeing more of the same (not necessarily 4, but just a loss) next week!

It was a CRAZY day at school, but then an AWESOME last night of revival at church tonight. God is good and I'm encouraged to not give up the fight..both spiritually and physically!

Sunflower – Our “mother church” 's pastor came to preach a week of revival services each night. It was wonderful and perfect timing. Tiring, but worth every minute. ๐Ÿ™‚
